KEY WEST inshore fishing

Sport fishing in the beautiful Keys of south Florida, you can expect to see and catch a myriad of fish. Captain Carter can take you inshore fishing, reef fishing, and wreck fishing. We use and can teach you several different techniques including bottom fishing, jigging, drift fishing, spinning, and popping. It takes a short amount of time to reach the waters you will be fishing from, unless your charter is to the Marquesas Keys which comes highly recommended. Typically you will be fishing no more than 12 miles off the coast and an average water depth of about 12 feet. Less travel means more time fishing and catching your favorite fish and you get to keep what you catch!

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a group of 4 with all levels of fishing experience. We booked through Captain Ryan who was very honest and open about this not being the prime time to target Tarpon.  He did ensure we would be with a great Captain that Tarpon fishing was his speciality. We met Captain Justin at the boat promptly at 5:00. He had the water ice down, rods rigged and greeted us with enthusiasm.   He asked what we wanted to target and then he offered some suggestions and we went with his plan.  We had an absolute fabulous trip. We ran out to the Pinfish trap and loaded the livewell with plenty of bait.  Ran about 15 minutes to the first spot and we loaded down with Vermillan Snapper. We left there and trolled around a buoy and caught 3 Barracudas. Our next stop was out from a private island.  Everyone caught fish there (can’t remember the name). The sunset was absolutely amazing.  Our last stop was in a channel, the conditions were not in our favor, tide not really moving, wind had laid down and the water temperature is warm but Captain Justin put us on Tarpon!!!!! He absolutely did his part. I would recommend 10/10. We will be back in May to book with Captain Ryan and Captain Justin.

He was very quick to respond and provided clear information before our trip. We ended up catching four tarpon which is exactly what we wanted to catch.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I had a great trip today!  Ryan put us on a bunch of fish (snapper, yellow jacks, and tarpon).  The boat is clean & well maintained.  There is plenty of top-notch tackle to go after a variety.  While there are no guarantees with fishing, Captain Carter clearly gives you the best shot at "catching," and his love and knowledge of fishing Key West will not  disappoint. Justin is the nicest guy, great guide, accommodating, and fun.  Justin put us right on the fish. You can tell he really loves his craft. We joked a lot and caught a lot of fish.  Tarpon & snapper. We got an early start and immediately caught a Tarpon, followed by another within half an hour.  Later we picked up a few Snappers and a Grouper. We had a blast as Captain Justin's incredible knowledge and personal experience made for a perfect day of fishing! At the end of the charter we asked if he could change it up a little for a few snapper for the dinner table and he didn’t disappoint! Definitely ask for Captain Justin when you go out with Live Action Sportfishing!
