Hey guys, Captain Ryan Carter here with your weekly inshore fishing report from Key West, Florida.
Spring has officially arrived, and the fishing is heating up right along with it. Tarpon action has been solid across several locations in the Lower Keys, and we’re expecting to see more fish moving in with each passing day.

Permit are right on schedule, stacking up in their spawning areas like they should this time of year. If you’re targeting these incredible sport fish, live shrimp or crabs have been the go-to baits and are producing great results.
We’re also seeing good numbers of bonefish out on the flats for anglers looking to chase the “grey ghosts.” Conditions have been favorable, and opportunities are definitely there.
On another note, bull sharks are very active right now. They’re showing up in strong numbers around wrecks and channels throughout the Keys, feeding heavily on the same sport fish we’re targeting—so be prepared for a little extra excitement out there.

That’s your report for this week—tight lines, and we’ll see you on the water!
