Hey guys, Captain Ryan Carter here with your weekly inshore fishing report from beautiful Key West, Florida!
November is an awesome time to fish in the Lower Keys. The pilchards have been thick and easy to catch lately, which has really fired up the snapper bite. Mangrove snappers are the most popular species in the backcountry right now—and in my opinion, they’re also the best eating!
Most of my clients this time of year like to keep a few fish to take back and have cooked up at Hurricane Hole Marina. They do an excellent job preparing your catch—whether you like it blackened, fried, grilled, panko-crusted, or my personal favorite: buffalo style.
Captain Justin has also been on the action, catching some solid yellow jacks, mutton snappers, and even a few juvenile Goliath grouper while fishing the shallow wrecks and channels around Key West.
That’s your inshore report for this week—tight lines and see you on the water!
